MKMRS

Milton Keynes Model Railway Society (MKMRS) is a community for people interested in railway modelling and model trains. Established in 1969, the society is based at Bletchley Park and welcomes both experienced enthusiasts and newcomers. Prospective members can attend a free trial evening to experience the club before joining.

MKMRS builds and owns model railway layouts across several scales, including N, 009, 00/H0 and 0 gauge, as well as a test track layout. The society shares its work and activities through club nights, introductory videos and an archive of layouts and past exhibitions. Its annual exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to explore model railway displays, with the next scheduled for 6 June 2026 and a further event listed for 5–6 June 2027.

The society’s website provides information about its history, location, activities, layouts and membership, alongside exhibition announcements and press releases. By bringing together railway modelling enthusiasts, MKMRS offers a welcoming setting to learn, build and enjoy the hobby.
