MKSz

Miejski Klub Szachowy w Rybniku is a chess club based in Rybnik, Poland, building a community of chess enthusiasts since 1997. Its activities go beyond playing: the club presents chess as a way to develop intellectual skills and character, and welcomes children and young people to its lessons and training sessions. It also fields a senior team that competes for top results. The club says its students regularly win medals at the Silesian and Polish Championships, reflecting its focus on developing future chess champions.

Visitors can learn about the club’s history, meet its trainers, view photo galleries, and find information about joining and training. The club also encourages players to practise online, recommending Chess.com for games against computer opponents at different difficulty levels or against other people. Based at Powstańców Śląskich 40/42 in Rybnik, MKSz Rybnik reports more than 100 active members and over 25 years of tradition. Its activities are co-funded by the City of Rybnik’s budget.
