Major League Hacking (MLH) supports a global community of software creators, helping students and developers learn, build, and connect through practical experiences. With more than five million developers, over 1,000 annual events, and participants across 100 countries, MLH describes itself as a home for creators at every stage of their journey. Its programs include hackathons, Global Hack Week, and an online community where developers can share knowledge and make their learning accessible to others.
MLH also offers remote, 12-week fellowship programs as internship alternatives. Participants earn a stipend, collaborate with peers and engineers, and contribute to real open-source projects. Available tracks include software engineering, production engineering, and Web3 engineering. For event organizers, MLH provides resources to run hackathons and developer events, while its partnerships help companies connect with developers and introduce them to tools through hands-on experiences. MLH has also acquired DEV, an online community for developers to learn, build, and share. Through events, education, and community resources, the organization aims to empower the next generation of engineers.
