About Městská knihovna v Praze/Municipal Library of Prague
The Municipal Library of Prague, known as Městská knihovna v Praze, is a public library that can be enjoyed by everyone! We offer a wide range of products and services, including books, music, films, and artworks. In our e-library, you can legally and for free download over a thousand e-books from classic to contemporary authors. Throughout the year, we host various cultural events.
Currently, our summer operating hours are in effect from July 1st to August 31st, 2023. Visit our library to explore the 130-year history of our Music Department or enjoy the Summer Cinema at Mariánské náměstí in August and September 2023. We also offer fun events such as the Media Literacy workshop on August 23rd, 2023, and a Festival for Children and Parents on August 24th at Mariánské náměstí.
