MLS Funeral Directors

MLS Independent Funeral Directors is a family-owned and managed funeral service based in Aughton and Burscough, serving Ormskirk, the wider Lancashire area and Liverpool. The Hunter family has run the independent business for three generations, bringing more than 90 years of combined experience in the funeral profession. Its qualified team aims to support bereaved families with patience, compassion and dignity, providing personal guidance at every stage.

The company offers a 24-hour service throughout the year, helping families make arrangements and manage the practical details of a funeral. Services include support with legal paperwork, funeral planning, service and transport options, coffins and caskets, flowers, music, celebrants, and orders of service. Private chapels of rest in Aughton and Burscough provide a quiet place for visits. MLS also assists with arrangements after the service, including ashes, flowers and donations, and the transfer of the deceased when required.
