The Marcus M. Wilson Scholarship Fund is a nonprofit organization founded in 2010 to support graduating seniors from Roanoke City Public Schools who plan to attend college in the upcoming school year. Created in memory of Marcus Wilson, the fund honors his love of life, family, education, and helping others. Marcus hoped to study criminal justice and build a successful future, but his life was cut short in 2010. The scholarship keeps his aspirations and generous spirit in mind by helping local students pursue their own educational goals.

The fund offers several $500 scholarships to eligible RCPS seniors, with a focus on students who need additional financial support to continue their education. Its website provides information about the scholarship application and ways to donate or get involved. Through these scholarships and community participation, the Marcus M. Wilson Scholarship Fund seeks to create opportunities for students while preserving Marcus’s memory and commitment to helping others.
