Muzeul Naţional al Literaturii Române (MNLR) is a renowned cultural institution that holds an authentic literary treasure. With over 300,000 pieces organized in approximately 300 collections, MNLR houses manuscripts, rare and old books, historical and literary documents, personal objects and furniture that belonged to Romanian writers. Additionally, it showcases plastic art such as paintings, graphics, and sculptures, as well as periodicals, photographs, and audio-video recordings that provide a comprehensive and profound perspective on the entire realm of Romanian literature within a national and universal context.

Despite relocating from its former home, Casa Kretzulescu, MNLR continues to preserve the memory of this space through a virtual tour. Currently situated on Calea Griviţei, MNLR's main exhibition, opened in 2017, presents the literary heritage to the public. The museum aims to position itself as a national cultural and educational landmark.
