The Museu Nacional Resistência e Liberdade (National Museum of Resistance and Freedom) is a cultural institution at the Fortress of Peniche, a former political prison in Portugal. Opened in 2024, the museum preserves and shares the history of resistance and political imprisonment, giving particular attention to the people detained at the fortress. Its mission brings together historical memory, cultural heritage, research, and public education.

Visitors can explore exhibitions, galleries, collections, a memorial to political prisoners, and the historic fortress and prison spaces. The museum also presents research, articles, projects, and recorded testimonies, including interviews with former prisoners and their families. These resources illuminate personal experiences of clandestinity, imprisonment, and resistance, and invite the public to contribute their own testimony to the shared historical record.

The museum offers visitor information and bookings, educational activities, virtual visits, and an agenda of events. Its bookstore features publications and editions associated with the museum.
