Minnesota Wave Hockey is an off-season hockey development program focused on helping players improve while keeping the experience fun. Its “It’s About Development and Fun” approach combines on-ice training with opportunities to play in small-sided formats. The 2026 full-season program is organized across spring, summer, and fall, with registration information available through the website.

Spring sessions take place in April and May on Fridays and/or Sundays, led by Butch Kaebel or another professional instructor. In June and July, players attend one weekly session on Friday or Sunday, featuring 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 hockey. The August and September fall session generally offers two training nights per week, also on Fridays and Sundays, with instruction from Butch Kaebel or another professional. The program welcomes on-ice assistance and describes its model as offering better development at lower cost.

Minnesota Wave Hockey also provides player off-ice training resources, venue information, team and schedule details, registration, and parent resources. Players can explore past achievements in the program’s trophy case and access updates through its online calendars.
