About ARCHIVED: Mobile Info Team
Mobile Info Team is a brand dedicated to improving the lives of refugees and migrants in Greece. Established in 2016, our mission began in Idomeni, near the North Macedonian border, where we provided crucial information and assistance to asylum seekers residing in makeshift camps. We have since adapted our operations and moved to Thessaloniki, where we continue our work.
Through our website and Facebook page, we offer general information on new developments in the Greek asylum system, integration measures, family reunification procedures, and more. With over 65,000 followers on Facebook, our reach is vast. We also provide individualized information, offering tailored support to individuals through various communication channels.
Our full-time lawyer and caseworkers offer in-depth case support, ensuring no legal issues are left unresolved. In addition to providing support, we advocate for the rights of refugees and migrants. We collect testimonies, publish reports, and engage with various stakeholders to bring attention to key obstacles faced by asylum seekers and refugees in Greece.
Our impact speaks for itself, with 73 cases successfully resolved in 2022. We have reunited families, corrected administrative mistakes, and helped with asylum applications. Through our hotlines and informative posts, we handle around 7,990 enquiries each year.
With a team of translators, we offer support in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, English, and French. We also conduct in-person information sessions in Thessaloniki and visit partner organizations near camps in Northern Greece to ensure that accurate and vital information reaches as many people as possible. Mobile Info Team collaborates with other organizations, offering asylum workshops and arranging talks to share our legal expertise.
Our goal is to empower individuals by providing them with the information they need and deserve to navigate the complex Greek legal system. Partnering with the Mushkila Kabira Foundation, Mobile Info Team operates as a citizen initiative to bridge the gap where government response falls short. As we continue our journey, we strive for a fair and equal society, fighting for the rights of all humans
