About Mobile Phone Museum
The Mobile Phone Museum is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving the rich history and design diversity of mobile devices spanning over four decades. Founded by Ben Wood in 2004 and formalized into a registered charity in 2020, the museum features an extensive collection that includes over 2,800 individual models from more than 250 brands, totaling over 6,000 devices when counting duplicates. The museum actively catalogues and stores donations of mobile devices, ensuring that each item is properly recognized and preserved for future generations.
Beyond its impressive collection, the museum plays a vital educational role by providing resources and arranging school visits to teach students about mobile technology and its evolution. The Mobile Phone Museum also welcomes monetary donations to support its mission and continues to grow through community contributions. With a commitment to safeguarding technology heritage, the museum not only curates its collection but also engages in educating the public about the significance of mobile devices in our lives
