Mochi Mommy

Mochi Mommy is a food and lifestyle website created by Kristen, a Chinese-Japanese American mom living in the Pacific Northwest. The site focuses on recording family recipes and sharing Chinese, Japanese, and Hawaiian food traditions through accessible recipes and cultural inspiration. Its collection spans sweet and savory dishes, with a particular emphasis on mochi and matcha.

Visitors can explore recipes by cuisine, course, ingredient, cooking method, and dietary preference, including gluten-free and vegan options. Featured dishes include butter mochi, daifuku, soufflé pancakes, Chinese bakery sponge cake, Japanese braised pork belly, and matcha desserts and drinks. The site also offers seasonal recipe roundups, beginner-friendly instructions, and ideas for cooking with children. Beyond recipes, Mochi Mommy provides an Asian food glossary, cookbook recommendations, and shopping resources for ingredients, kitchen tools, beauty, and skincare. Overall, Mochi Mommy combines practical home cooking guidance with a personal celebration of Asian American food and family heritage.
