MO ČRS Plzeň

Český rybářský svaz, z. s., místní organizace Plzeň 1, is a local angling association and the successor to Plzeň’s first fishing club, founded in 1890. It serves anglers in the Plzeň area through fishing permits, information on local and regional fishing grounds, and opportunities to take part in recreational and competitive fishing. The organization supports disciplines including float fishing, feeder, lure fishing, and fishing technique, and publishes event calendars and details of competitions such as the Plzeň Feeder Pairs Cup.

Its activities also include managing fisheries and supporting fish populations. Members carry out seasonal pond harvests, stocking and fish collection for artificial breeding. The organization runs youth fishing clubs, arranges skills assessments and events for children, and works with local schools, including a school for children with hearing impairments. It offers access to a fishing cottage at Hracholusky, located on the Mže 4 fishing ground, and shares information about grants, history and community events.
