The Associação de Modelismo de Almada (AMA) is a Portuguese model-making association that has promoted the hobby since 1996. Based in Almada, it brings together members who build, exhibit and share scale models, helping to develop and celebrate model-making in Portugal. The association organizes events, exhibitions and gatherings, including its 24 Hours of Model Making and the EXPO AMA, and takes part in other model shows and competitions.

Its website features members’ galleries, videos and news about activities, visits and partnerships. AMA also offers ways to join, support its work through donations, and connect with the modeling community through social media and a newsletter. Its online shop and information about partner agreements further support members and enthusiasts.

Alongside promoting the hobby, AMA encourages more sustainable practices: through a partnership with Planet Caretakers, it collects plastic kit sprues for recycling, including material left over after model kits are assembled. The association provides a welcoming hub for model makers to display their work, exchange experience and stay informed about events and developments in the community
