Modellbauclub Braunsbedra

Modellbauclub Braunsbedra e. V. is a nonprofit model railway club in Braunsbedra, Germany, bringing together people who share a fascination with railways in miniature. Founded in 1969 as AG 6/26 in the former East Germany, it became a registered nonprofit association in 2013 and later adopted its current name.

The club focuses primarily on designing and building detailed model railway layouts. Members collaborate on woodworking, electrical systems, landscape construction and detailing, painting, and vehicle care, while sharing techniques, advice, and ideas during regular club evenings. A typical layout takes about two years to complete, and interested visitors are welcome to join and support the work.

Alongside its ongoing projects, Modellbauclub Braunsbedra presents its layouts at exhibitions several times a year, both at its own events and as a guest at regional shows, especially across the Saalekreis, Halle, and the Leipzig area. These exhibitions invite visitors to explore carefully crafted miniature worlds, while the club offers newcomers an opportunity to learn, create, and share in the hobby.
