Fliegergruppe Schorndorf e.V.

Fliegergruppe Schorndorf e. V. – Abteilung Modellflug is a model aviation club in Schorndorf, Germany, and part of an association founded in 1927.

With around 100 members across different age groups, the club brings together newcomers and experienced enthusiasts, including members who have been involved for more than 50 years. Its activities span several disciplines: glider and powered model aircraft, helicopters, and free flight. Members build, fly, maintain, and repair their models, sharing practical skills and helping one another solve technical problems.

The club also supports competitive model flying, with experienced pilots participating in events and competitions. Youth development is central to its community. A supervised building group helps young members learn not only to fly, but also to construct, maintain, and repair models.

For those interested in getting started, the club offers opportunities to join, take an introductory flight experience, and explore its youth activities. Members and visitors can also take part in indoor flying sessions, training, competitions, and other gatherings throughout the year
