De Moderne Kuip (DMK) is a vision for renewing Feyenoord’s De Kuip stadium and transforming its surrounding area in Rotterdam-Zuid. Its proposal combines stadium modernisation with the creation of a lively urban district for living, working, learning and recreation, with the stadium serving as a landmark. DMK presents a three-stage plan: updating existing facilities, modernising the stadium while retaining its current capacity, and ultimately expanding it to 63,000 seats as part of a complete renovation.

The proposed stadium would feature contemporary facilities for supporters and business visitors, while preserving De Kuip’s distinctive atmosphere. DMK also describes the project as climate-positive and smart, and aims to make the venue attractive for international events. The plan is intended to support a stronger player budget for Feyenoord through a realistic stadium investment and business case.

For the surrounding district, DMK advocates adding functions such as education, innovation, student housing and cultural facilities, alongside a proposed data campus.
