About MODI 🇪🇺
MODI Project is a pioneering European cross-border initiative dedicated to advancing Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) solutions within the logistics sector. With a substantial budget of €28 million, MODI brings together a 34-organisation public-private partnership from 8 countries to test and validate CCAM implementations for real-world logistics operations. The project aims to accelerate the deployment of CCAM vehicles by focusing on key aspects such as traffic safety, infrastructure utilization, and environmental impact.
MODI comprises five distinct use cases within the logistics supply chain, addressing regulatory barriers and infrastructure challenges at terminals in major European ports. By delivering Heavy Duty Vehicles (HDVs) at TRL7 and developing innovative business models, MODI is paving the way for the widespread adoption of CCAM technologies in logistics. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation, MODI is driving the future of automated mobility in the logistics industry
