Modsy was a home design technology company founded in 2015 to help people visualize and make decisions about their homes. Its platform let consumers scan rooms in 3D and explore redesigned versions with furniture from well-known and distinctive brands, with products available to buy through the service. Modsy also connected customers with online interior designers who helped them virtually reimagine their spaces, including bedrooms, dining rooms, home offices, kids’ bedrooms, and living rooms.

Over time, the company shifted its focus from online interior design services to the 3D visualization technology behind its platform. Modsy developed tools intended to help consumers see what was possible in their homes and make more informed choices. In 2022, its team and technology were assigned to a new entity, and on August 30, 2023, the remaining team and intellectual property became part of Lennar, a leading U.S. homebuilder and longtime investor. Lennar acquired them to support further 3D innovation for the home and extend the technology to serve homebuyers at a greater scale.
