MODX Catamarans develops innovative, luxurious multihulls designed to make sailing more sustainable. Its flagship MODX 70 is a 70-foot catamaran that combines electric propulsion with renewable energy systems to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and enable zero-CO₂-emission navigation. The vessel brings together automated, retractable Aeroforce wings for wind propulsion, electric motors, hydrogeneration and 70 square metres of solar panels, with solar power capacity of up to 15 kWp.
Hydrogeneration can provide between 3 and 10 kWp, depending on the vessel’s speed. The MODX 70 is designed to balance performance with energy efficiency and includes a centralized, automated and connected dashboard. MODX also presents the MODX 58 Charter, alongside owner and charter versions of its vessels.
Through MODX World, the brand offers sailing experiences and charter opportunities, and shares photos, videos and information about its technology and history. Based in Lorient, France, MODX Catamarans positions its work around responsible ocean travel and the use of clean, renewable energy
