Möhrchengeber is a German charitable initiative dedicated to helping horses in need through a nationwide network of care locations and stable partners. It takes in horses, provides the individual care they require, and seeks suitable new homes for them when they are ready; some remain in its care permanently. Its work is supported by around 40 stable partners across Germany.

The organisation’s One Million Möhri Ride turns participants’ enthusiasm for horses into fundraising. Held from 1 to 30 September 2026, the event invites people to ride, lead or drive their horses, record their kilometres, and ask supporters to pledge donations for each kilometre. Participants can join individually or form teams. A €5 registration fee helps cover event costs, while kilometre-based donations go directly to horse welfare. The proceeds are divided equally between Möhrchengeber and other eligible nonprofit horse-protection organisations in Germany, supporting essentials such as feed, medical care and accommodation. The ride also features team, distance, fundraising and community awards.
