The Moffitt Family Foundation

The Moffitt Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting families and strengthening communities across North Carolina, with particular attention to Gaston and Cleveland counties. Its work focuses on helping children reach their potential through academic enrichment, youth development, and merit-based scholarships. The foundation also provides humanitarian assistance to people facing urgent needs and hardship.

Following Hurricane Helene’s destruction in western North Carolina, the foundation mobilized food trucks and mobile kitchens to serve hot meals to affected communities. It also distributes essential supplies, including toiletries, clothing, and hygiene products. Led by foundation president Dr. Brad Moffitt and his wife, Dr. Brittany Moffitt, the relief effort has brought together volunteers, donors, and local partners to support families in Appalachia.

The organization invites people to contribute donations and volunteer their time. Through community collaboration and practical support, the Moffitt Family Foundation aims to address pressing local needs and help children and families move toward a stronger future.
