About Moglea
Moglea, based in Des Moines, Iowa, is a design studio specializing in artful paper and home goods. Founded in 2012 by Meg and Chad Gleason, Moglea believes that art belongs in the everyday. Their goods are meticulously hand-painted, resulting in unique and modern designs that stand out.
The story behind Moglea is one of love and resilience. Chad and Meg met at Iowa State University while pursuing careers in furniture and graphic design. Despite the challenges posed by the Great Recession in 2008, they stayed true to their dreams and decided to work together.
Chad joined his family's farm business in Audubon, Iowa, while Meg started a letterpress stationery business in the basement of their farmhouse. It was during a memorable car trip around Lake Michigan in 2009 that the name Moglea was born, combining the Gleason's last name and Meg's initial. At Moglea, you'll find a wide range of products, including best-selling cards for various occasions like birthdays, love and friendship, gratitude, and more.
