Mokbar

Mokbar is a renowned brand based in New York City, offering a delightful fusion of traditional Korean flavors with a modern twist. Our commitment to using fresh and seasonal ingredients sets us apart, ensuring that each dish is not only delicious but also sustainable and healthy. At Mokbar, our menu is constantly evolving to incorporate the freshest ingredients sourced from local markets like the Union Square Greenmarket and Korean markets in Flushing, Queens.

Our ramen broth, known as the mother broth, is carefully crafted by simmering pork bones, chicken bones, chicken feet, trotters, and other elements. We also add myulchi (dried anchovies), dashima (dried kelp), shiitake mushrooms, and a mirepoix to enhance the depth and flavor. We take pride in our selection of noodles, which are sourced from Sun Noodles in New Jersey.

These soft and chewy noodles complement our broth perfectly, creating a delightful slurping experience. Our dishes, from kimchi to ramen, are elevated with the use of gochujang, a traditional Korean red chili paste, and doenjang, a fermented soybean paste. We only use premium, locally-made gochujang and doenjang to achieve optimal flavor profiles.
