About MOLAA
MOLAA, the Museum of Latin American Art, is a leading institution in Long Beach, California, dedicated to modern and contemporary Latin American and Latino art. With its extensive Collection, groundbreaking Exhibitions, engaging Educational Programs, and diverse Cultural Events, MOLAA aims to expand knowledge and appreciation of this rich artistic heritage. The museum's mission is to be engaging, unique, intellectually stimulating, and relevant to diverse communities.
It strives to bring Latin American and Latino art to life through its vibrant programming and exhibits. Founded in 1996, MOLAA has grown significantly over the years, doubling its size and adding a 15,000 sq. Its permanent collection includes over 1,300 works of art.
The museum is located in the rapidly developing East Village Arts District, occupying a historic building that was once home to a silent film studio. As a tax-exempt non-profit organization, MOLAA relies on the support of its members and donors to fulfill its mission.
