Moldejazz, established in 1961, is the world's oldest continuously running jazz festival, celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2021. The festival takes place during week 29 every year and offers a wide range of exciting and immersive experiences for music enthusiasts. Moldejazz presents an impressive lineup of world-renowned jazz artists, showcasing their talents and captivating performances.

One of the festival's highlights is the presence of Bill Frisell, a renowned guitarist and composer, who will serve as the Artist in Residence during Moldejazz 2024. In addition to the main concert program, Moldejazz also offers the Festivalakademiet, a traditional free event where selected artists from the program are interviewed about their lives, careers, and music. This year, the interviews will take place at Kafe Kurt på Plassen at 12:00 each day, except for the opening day when it will start at 13:00.

The festival also features jazz performances in Alexandraparken during the daytime, as well as an electrifying DJ lineup in the park during the nights, turning it into Molde's largest nightclub for the week.
