EMSL provides mold testing kits and laboratory analysis to help homeowners assess potential mold problems and protect their homes. Its services are presented for customers across the United States, with local lab locations listed in cities including Orlando, Tampa, Miami, New York City, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Houston. The website offers three types of kits for different sampling needs.

The ERMI Test Kit uses household dust to profile mold contamination and provide an index value. The Tape Lift Test Kit is designed to collect samples from visible mold on smooth, non-porous surfaces, while the Swab Test Kit is suited to wet surfaces, difficult-to-reach areas, and bulk materials such as insulation or dust. Kits are shipped to customers with instructions for collecting samples at home, which are then returned for laboratory analysis.

The site also provides guidance on when testing may be useful, including after water damage or when musty odors or visible growth appear, along with FAQs and contact information to help customers understand the process and laboratory fees
