About – Mollesnejta
Mollesnejta is a pioneering agroforestry research institute located in the heart of Bolivia, founded by Dr. Noemi Stadler-Kaulich. Its mission is to promote sustainable agricultural practices that support food production while addressing pressing environmental issues such as deforestation, soil degradation, and climate change. By utilizing innovative agroforestry techniques, Mollesnejta demonstrates how farmers can cultivate diverse crops and trees without resorting to harmful methods like slash-and-burn or chemical fertilizers. The institute spans 23 hectares in the Cochabamba Valley, where it has successfully transformed arid lands into thriving ecosystems that support biodiversity.
Mollesnejta partners with various research institutions and the United Nations to ensure the promotion of sustainable development goals. It welcomes students, researchers, and volunteers eager to engage with agroforestry practices. In addition to hands-on learning opportunities, Dr. Stadler-Kaulich is available for consultations worldwide and has published a handbook on agroforestry methods. The institute also actively shares research findings and seeks financial support to further its mission and expand its projects combating deforestation.
