Mona Marries is the wedding celebrant service of Mona Bals, a freelance speaker based in Dortmund, Germany. A free wedding ceremony is not legally binding and does not replace a civil marriage. It does, however, allow couples greater freedom to choose the ceremony’s format, location, guest numbers and other details. Mona guides couples through the planning process, from an initial enquiry and a no-obligation video call to an in-person conversation about their story and the ceremony schedule. She then writes a personalised speech, contacts loved ones where appropriate, and remains available as plans develop. Before the wedding, she confirms the final arrangements; on the day, she arrives early, coordinates with the other service providers and welcomes guests.
