Monarch Fellowship

The Monarch Fellowship is a California-based conservation initiative that empowers residents to create native pollinator corridors and support local wildlife. Its network of volunteer hubs grows and shares free native milkweed and nectar plants, helping neighbors establish pollinator-friendly gardens. People can sign up to receive free plants, start a hub, or register an existing garden or pollinator patch on the organization’s interactive map. The map helps visitors find nearby hubs and publicly accessible educational gardens, while connecting participants across the state.

The Fellowship also provides practical resources for native gardening, including guides to planning and caring for pollinator patches, seasonal plant-care instructions, and information about the benefits of native species. Its online shop offers native seeds, wildflower seed packets, milkweed hub signs and related items, as well as a gardening kit designed to help children and teens learn about pollinators and native plants. Cities and organizations can explore partnership opportunities to expand habitat for local wildlife.
