About Mondulkiri Project
The Mondulkiri Project, managed by the Cambodia Elephant Rescue Organization, is a registered Cambodian NGO dedicated to saving the lives of elephants. Founded in October 2013, the project aims to protect a forested valley from logging, provide a sanctuary for rescued elephants, and support the indigenous Bunong people in Mondulkiri Province. The project's founder, Mr.
Tree, emphasizes the importance of preserving the forest to sustain local communities without causing harm. The project operates an elephant sanctuary where elephants roam freely, without offering rides to customers or staff. Moreover, the NGO contributes to protecting wild elephant populations by assisting in removing snares in neighboring wildlife sanctuaries.
By creating jobs and supporting the Bunong people, the Mondulkiri Project ensures a better quality of life for the community, preserving their unique culture and traditions. Learn more about our tours, elephants, and how you can support our cause on our website
