Worlds in Motion is the website of Vanessa Mongey, a historian whose research explores the connected histories of revolutions in the Atlantic World, with particular attention to politics, race, migration, the Haitian diaspora, and Black British history. The site brings together resources for teachers, researchers, and students, with materials also available in French and Spanish. Mongey is the author of Rogue Revolutionaries: The Fight for Legitimacy in the Greater Caribbean, which examines European, Afro-American, and U.
S. men who sought to spark revolutions and establish independent states. The book received the Chinard Prize from the Society of French Historical Studies.

Other projects include Haitian Odysseys, a StoryMap following a Haitian family’s travels in the nineteenth century, and Paths Across Waters, featuring essays and images about Afro-Caribbean and African migrants in North East England.
