About Monocacy Pistol Club
Monocacy Pistol Club is a shooting club established in 1958, offering handgun enthusiasts a place to practice, develop their skills, and take part in friendly competition. Its ranges are open daily to members and their invited guests, with operating hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays, except Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.
The club has four ranges: Bullseye, Pins, Steel, and Multi-Purpose. Members can practice at their own pace when ranges are open, and the club hosts a variety of matches throughout the year. These include steel matches, Pins, Bullseye and 1800 competitions, Great Wars matches, Police Pistol Combat, Critters and Miniature Metallic Silhouette, and Winchester NRA marksmanship events. Shooters with different experience and ability levels are welcome to attend matches.
Monocacy Pistol Club also holds monthly membership meetings on the third Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at American Legion Francis Scott Key Post #11 in Frederick, Maryland.
