Montana Homesteader is a vibrant blog dedicated to modern-day homesteading, founded in 2013 by a passionate family eager to share their experiences and knowledge. With a focus on sustainable living, the blog delves into various topics, including canning, preserving, gardening, and caring for livestock like chickens. Annie, the driving force behind the blog, is a Certified Master Gardener and Master Naturalist, drawing from her rich heritage of food preservation passed down through generations.

The blog not only offers a wealth of resources for budding homesteaders but also features an Etsy shop, Sweathouse Creek Creations, where handmade goods crafted on their homestead are available for purchase. Readers can explore practical guides on foraging, making herbal products, and preserving the harvest, alongside personal anecdotes that highlight the joys and challenges of homesteading life. With contributions from Annie's children, the Montana Homesteader invites you to cultivate a simpler, more meaningful life through its engaging stories and practical insights.
