Montanya Rum

Montanya Distillers is a female-founded and female-owned craft rum distillery based in Crested Butte, Colorado. With a dedication to green business practices, Montanya Distillers is not just about making exceptional rum but also being a force for good in the world. Their range of Montanya Rums is the result of a 30-year love affair with rum and a passion for sharing it with others.

The story of Montanya Distillers begins with founder Karen Hoskin's first sip of rum on a beach in India at the age of 21. This ignited her love for rum and cocktails, and after years of building other people's dream companies, Karen decided to create her own brand. She opened Montanya Distillers in 2008 and quickly became part of the craft spirits movement, producing premium, aged rums with complete transparency and without added sugar.

Montanya Rums have since won numerous awards and accolades, establishing themselves as a respected brand in the world of high-quality spirits and artisan cocktails. Their original distillery in Silverton, Colorado, has now relocated to Crested Butte, where they have two facilities—a tasting room and office in downtown Crested Butte and a distillery, bottling facility, and barrel house just outside of town. Montanya Distillers operates with a clear vision to be the most highly-respected and well-loved American rum available.

They strive to change the way Americans view rum cocktails by introducing new artisan cocktails in their tasting rooms every week, all year round. With their commitment to stewardship and making a positive impact, Montanya Distillers is a brand that embodies excellence, sustainability, and the art of crafting exceptional rum
