Monte da Aferrada is a family-inspired tourism and wine project in Alpalhão, a village in Portugal’s Alto Alentejo region. It offers two kinds of accommodation: two country houses set amid the Alentejo plains and two traditional village houses in the heart of Alpalhão. The Monte houses are designed for guests seeking rest, comfort and a connection with nature, while the village homes revive the character of historic Alentejo houses with modern-day comforts.

The area provides a setting for exploring local landscapes, heritage and culture. Experiences include routes through plains and hills, visits to waterfalls, river beaches, villages, castles and megalithic monuments, with options such as walking, cycling, horseback riding, off-road touring and balloon trips.
