Montessori Surry Hills Childcare & Preschool

Surry Hills Montessori Childcare & Preschool Centre provides early childhood education and care for families in Redfern and nearby Surry Hills, Sydney. The centre describes its approach as Montessori-inspired, with a nurturing, home-like environment where children are encouraged to explore, create and develop confidence. Its educators aim to support curiosity, creativity and social growth through a stimulating, age-appropriate curriculum.

Programs are organised into three groups: Carponi for children aged 0–2, Nido for ages 2–3, and Bambini for ages 3–6. The youngest children are supported to move and explore at their own pace, while the Bambini program encourages creativity, critical thinking and social skills, helping prepare children for formal schooling. The centre also shares information about its values, philosophy, curriculum and frequently asked questions, and provides a Child Care Subsidy calculator.

Families can arrange a tour, enquire about enrolment or contact the centre directly. Located at 763 Bourke Street, Redfern, with entrance via Boronia Street, it is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and closed on public holidays.
