Monticello Christmas is a community celebration in historic Monticello, Florida, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a festive evening of small-town hospitality. Its 2026 theme, “A Classic Storybook Christmas,” sets the scene for the annual event on Saturday, December 5. Highlights include the Christmas Light Parade, the official tree lighting, and visits with Santa.
Families can also explore a children’s zone, browse handcrafted, handmade, and homegrown goods in the Vendor Village, and enjoy live entertainment, local shopping, and dining in downtown Monticello. The celebration is designed to welcome guests of all ages, from young children to grandparents, and offers an opportunity to make holiday memories together. Monticello Christmas also encourages visitors to extend their trip and discover the wider Monticello–Jefferson County area, where activities include canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and biking.
Historic bed-and-breakfasts and vacation rentals provide options for an overnight stay. The event connects holiday festivities with the area’s shops, restaurants, historic character, and local experiences
