Monumendi uued raamid

Monumendi is a dynamic organization dedicated to exploring and reframing historical narratives surrounding monuments, particularly those associated with conflict and heritage. Established amidst ongoing discussions around the significance of war monuments in Estonia, Monumendi brings together a diverse range of projects and initiatives aimed at fostering public dialogue and critical examination of dissonant heritage.

Their offerings include public exhibitions, informative articles, and collaborative workshops that engage artists, historians, and the community in rethinking the role of these monuments in contemporary society. A key focus is on the Tehumardi monument, which has been subjected to various interpretations and discussions, illustrating the complex relationship between history and memory. Through these efforts, Monumendi aspires to create spaces for meaningful conversations about identity, history, and the impact of monuments in our landscapes. Their commitment to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity positions them as a leader in the ongoing discourse on heritage and its implications for society today.
