Moore County Hounds is a private foxhunting pack based in Southern Pines, North Carolina, and the state’s oldest recognized pack of foxhounds. Established in 1914, the organization brings together members and guests around a tradition of outdoor sport, horsemanship, hounds, and camaraderie in the Sandhills. Its Penn-Marydel hounds are valued for their scenting ability and distinctive voices, reflecting generations of breeding and training.

Participants can follow the pack on hunts and experience the region’s countryside, with friends and family welcome by permission of the Masters. Moore County Hounds provides information for prospective members and visitors, including membership applications, guest registration and capping fees, hunting customs, etiquette, dress guidance, and other resources. Its calendar also features community activities such as the annual Hunter Pace, the Hunt Ball and Auction, and Blessing of the Hounds.
