Ministry of Religious Affairs

The Ministry of Religious Affairs is a government ministry of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, responsible for supporting religious affairs and related public services. Its work includes coordinating Hajj and Umrah administration, overseeing affiliated offices and organizations, and supporting the welfare of religious communities and places of worship. The ministry works with bodies including the Islamic Foundation, the Office of the Waqf Administrator, Bangladesh Hajj offices, and welfare trusts for Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian communities.

Its public services include Hajj pre-registration and refund applications for government-managed pilgrims, Hajj management and pilgrim-search portals, forms, guidance, and information on Hajj and Umrah policies. The ministry also publishes notices, rules, publications, budgets, project updates, and service commitments, and provides channels for complaints, information requests, and public feedback. Its website offers access to departmental contacts, online services, current projects, and information on grants and welfare initiatives. Through these activities, the ministry serves citizens and religious organizations while promoting accessible, accountable administration of religious affairs in Bangladesh.
