Morristown Gun Club

Morristown Gun Club is a public, volunteer-run club founded in 1968 and located behind Ahlman’s Gun Shop. With a longstanding tradition of trap shooting, it provides clay target shooting opportunities for people of all experience levels. The club emphasizes responsible firearm ownership, hunting ethics, safety awareness, and education, while encouraging participation in outdoor activities.

Shooters can take part in regular leagues and youth leagues, explore shooting options, and learn about membership and shooting rates through the club’s website. Morristown also supports high school trap teams and offers resources such as firearm safety education, club rules, and shooting tips. Newcomers are welcome: experienced members may provide one-on-one guidance, and some may let beginners try a shotgun. The club does not rent firearms. Visitors can stop by the clubhouse during open shooting hours to learn more, while the online calendar lists upcoming events. Whether developing skills or discovering trap shooting for the first time, visitors can find opportunities to participate in a safety-focused, community-supported setting.
