Motala Flygklubb is an aviation club offering gliding and motor-flying activities, practical flight training, and opportunities for visitors to experience flying. Its gliding program provides practical instruction toward a glider pilot certificate, with courses running during the season from March to September. Prospective students can visit the club at Skärstad for a trial lesson or take a short introductory course of four lessons before deciding whether to continue.
The club also operates motor-flying activities with a four-seat Piper PA-28-181 Archer II, and uses a separate aircraft for glider towing. Its services include training in gliding and touring motor gliders, information for visiting pilots, and gift flights available through gift certificates. Pilots planning to visit are asked to obtain prior permission, or PPR.
Motala Flygklubb also shares club information, local rules, fees, activity schedules, booking and time-registration details, weather resources, and aviation links. With both introductory experiences and ongoing instruction, the club gives interested visitors and aspiring pilots ways to explore flying and take part in its aviation activities
