Mothers Unleashed Melbourne

Mothers Unleashed is a maternal support and counselling practice founded by Gemma Bishop, focused on helping women navigate loss, trauma and difficult experiences of motherhood. Its mission is to reduce the shame and isolation surrounding maternal hardship by creating opportunities for women to share their stories, feel heard and build resilience. The practice offers individual counselling and The Mama Voice workshop, a peer-led group where mothers can explore experiences such as perinatal loss, infertility, birth trauma and postpartum challenges in a supportive setting.

Workshops encourage reflection, connection and honest conversation, with a trauma-informed, compassionate approach. Mothers Unleashed grew from maternal storytelling events created by Gemma and Tamar Feinkind, and continues to champion freedom and empowerment in expressing maternal experiences. The Mama Voice workshop has received endorsement from the City of Moonee Valley, enabling three workshops to be offered at a subsidised cost.

Mothers Unleashed was also shortlisted in the new business category of the 2024 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards
