Motley Mutts Rescue

Motley Mutts Rescue is a dedicated 501(c)(3) organization formed by passionate animal lovers aiming to provide a safe haven for dogs in need, especially those from shelters in Mississippi that lack adequate care. The rescue focuses on saving dogs of all shapes and sizes—from puppies to seniors, and even special cases like pregnant mothers and those requiring heartworm treatment. By partnering with local rescuers who foster dogs in their homes, Motley Mutts ensures each animal receives essential veterinary care, food, vaccinations, and a nurturing environment until they find loving permanent homes.

The team's commitment to animals, especially senior dogs, is evident in their mission to prioritize the rescue of older pets, recognizing that shelters can be particularly distressing for them. Funded by the kindness of donors and volunteers, Motley Mutts Rescue has successfully rescued nearly 600 dogs in its first year, and continues to thrive thanks to the unwavering support of the community
