About MotorSport New Zealand
MotorSport New Zealand is a renowned brand and the designated authority for regulating motorsport in the country. Established in 1947 as the Association of New Zealand Car Clubs, it became MotorSport New Zealand Inc in 1996. With over 90 member clubs, MotorSport New Zealand continues to expand its membership.
As a member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) since 1956, it is responsible for governing motorsport in New Zealand. The organization delegates authority for karting, drag racing, and vintage car events, subject to FIA approval. MotorSport New Zealand is committed to sustainability and has developed an environmental policy to focus on improving sustainability across all areas of the organization.
