Mountain Club Ounasvaara

Mountain Club Ounasvaara (MCO) is a snowboarding and freeski club based in Rovaniemi, Finland. Founded in 1996, the club brings people together to enjoy outdoor activity, develop their riding skills and share time on the slopes. Its activities take place during the winter season when the Ounasvaara ski slopes are open.

MCO offers training groups for children, young people and other riders, with options in both freeski and snowboarding. Beginner-focused clubs introduce younger participants to the sports, while relaxed groups provide an informal setting for riders over ten. For those who want to train with competitive goals, the club also runs dedicated freeski and snowboarding teams. Through its coaching, members can pursue opportunities to compete at national and international levels.

The club also organizes competitions, camps and shared riding sessions, including events with Ounasvaara. Its activities and news are shared through its website and social media. With a focus on both enjoyment and sporting ambition, MCO offers a welcoming community for riders in the Rovaniemi area.
