Mountain Pet Rescue is a foster-based rescue organization located in Grand County, CO. Our main objective is to find foster care and forever homes for active and energetic "mountain" dogs. We work closely with overcrowded shelters in and outside of Colorado to rescue dogs that are often considered unadoptable in other states.

Our dedicated Board of Directors assesses each dog's temperament and evaluates potential foster and adoption homes to ensure a perfect match. We believe in providing basic education and training to both the general public and those who foster and adopt our pets, promoting proper care and lessening the need for rescue. Our system is informative, timely, and organized, ensuring a successful experience in pet ownership, education, and fostering.
