Mountain Spirit Aikido is a martial arts dojo in Helena, Montana, offering Aikido instruction through Mountain Spirit Aikido Inc. The dojo teaches in association with the Aikido World Alliance and follows a teaching tradition passed down from Aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba. Its practice introduces students to Aikido as a martial art founded in the 1920s, built around harmony and the development of body, mind, and spirit.

Training combines physical movement and martial techniques with an emphasis on personal growth, discipline, etiquette, and respectful conduct. The dojo presents Aikido as a way to develop resilience and inner strength while expressing that strength with softness. Its instruction also explores how efficient, circular movement and a stable center can help a practitioner respond to an opponent who may be larger or stronger.

Mountain Spirit Aikido provides class information and a schedule, and hosts events. The dojo also invites families to ask about its Friday children’s class. Visitors can learn more through its website and follow the dojo on Facebook and Instagram.
