Mountfitchet Castle & The House on the Hill Museum is a beloved brand that offers a unique experience for visitors. Located in Stansted, this tourist attraction is home to a lovable Labrador named Fred, who has taken on the role of foster parent to 15 orphaned ducklings. This is not the first time Fred has played this nurturing role, as he previously cared for nine ducklings in 2018.
The owner of Mountfitchet Castle, Jeremy Goldsmith, describes Fred as their very own stay-at-home dad. Despite being older and a bit more rickety, Fred's nurturing nature shines through as he relaxes and bonds with the ducklings. While the whereabouts of the ducklings' mother, Mary, remain unknown, the castle hopes she will return to her ducklings soon.
In the meantime, Fred has lovingly taken over their care. Visitors to Mountfitchet Castle & The House on the Hill Museum can witness this heartwarming bond between Fred and the ducklings, offering a unique and memorable experience
